New to the neighbourhood (in the space formerly occupied by Il Castello), Farina a Legna has authentic pizza and pastas. Wood-fired oven, pizzas served with infused oils. Delicious – and very popular. Had an excellent server, overall great experience!
MoreThis is not only a place for great pizza but for delicious pasta. I had the carbonara which is a favourite and it was decadent with pancetta, cream and egg. Loved it. My husband had the pizza which he enjoyed immensely. This will be our new regular eatery!
MoreThe reviews about needing some work on the front of the house are true, they don't answer the phone, the reservation system isn't very clear, so we physically show up and they tell us it's a 45m wait! I will try again and hopefully get to modify this review, disappointed
MoreWe had a great dinner here tonight. Very family friendly, but also very intimate. Pizza was fab, and we got the special tortellini special. This has wild boar and a white ragu, so tasty! Even our young daughter loved it.
MoreSeems to always be super busy. Good is really good. Only downside I can think of is that it can be fairly noisy so conversation is a bit challenging, for me at least; also getting a table as a walk in may be difficult. Reserve if you know you want to dinner here. Service is polite and good.
MoreWhat a great experience! Slight mix-up with our order and it was handled exceptionally well. I haven't had a small problem dealt with so swiftly and so well in a very long time. The food was equally as delicious. We cannot wait to return!
MoreNice Italian restaurant. Still miss the other restaurant that used to be at the same location. The pizza is good, but I am missing a bit the creative touch. The tiramisu as desert was to liquid. Overall nice, but not outstanding. Hope they improve over time. Best dish was the appetizers salad.
MoreI rarely write reviews but I feel I must share my wonderful dinner experience at Farina a Legna. For starters we shared the spectacular Burrata Caprese appetizer, being big foodies my partner ordered the Pizza Calebrese, oh the crust it truly is an outstanding - 5 *****, crispy yet tender but with a good chew, foldable just as you should eat a slice- with your hands, yummy!I ordered the Pasta Carbonara with pasta it was decadent with panceta, cream and egg. Loved it. Of course we each had to have dessert. we shared Tiramisu and Torta al Cioccollata So o o o DELICIOUS a perfect pairing to end our meal, simply divine! The dining room is well put together, warm, Inviting, cozy atmosphere. The service is very attentive, the food came out fast, hot and delicious! Perfect serving size for sharing.Farina a Legna is now my new go to place :)
MoreVery noisy atmosphere. If they did something to absorb it would have been more enjoyable. The drinks are minimal but the pizza is delish.
MoreHad an amazing meal here the other night... Was delighted by the staff! This is a very popular place, and the kitchen (which you can see right into!) only has one brick oven... But everyone moved together beautifully, like a ballet. We didn't have to wait very long for our meal to arrive, which was delicious! We ordered meatballs, buratta caprese, calabrese pizza and genoese pesto spaghettoni. Everything was wonderful, and the portions were generous! We ended up taking things home to eat later. (just as tasty cold!) I highly reccomend reserving a table, this place fills up fast!
MoreExcellent experience. We dined at the North Vancouver location for the first time last night. The food and service was amazing. First rate. We had the special ricotta and fennel ravioli (superb) and a couple pizzas. Impressive.
MoreSo so good. Great service excellent food!
there is no reversation, needs to go to restaurent to wait for the seat. all the food are good ,especially pizza.
MoreCome for the pizza, not the pasta. The pasta is by no means bad. But for $23 I expect much more substance on my plate than what I got. The pizza is still the great Farina on Main pizza I know and love. The burrata was just ok. It lacked the richness and creaminess that's signature to good Italian burrata. I'm glad I tried this place, but I probably won't be coming back for anything other than the pizza.
MoreDelicious pasta special. Little expensive for the portion size however.
This is their sister restaurant to Pizzeria Farina but with more delicious foods to choose from.We had their Quattro Formaggi pizza and Pomodoro pasta. The pizza was still amazing, the crust was crispy, tender and no scent of yeast. The Pomodoro pasta was good and their offered to give us Scarpetta ( a piece of bread) to mop up the last bit of sauce.Other than that, the staff was warm and friendly. The space was neat and you can now pick up some quality ingredients.
MoreSooo happy they reopened. New menu new place same amazing experience
Great pizza and pasta. Great friendly service too. When we called to see how busy the restaurant was, the hostess said she would hold a table for us since we were about 5 minutes away.
MoreBest pizza I've had in the GVA. Delicious! Nice service and ambience (great for kids or a date)
MoreSo happy to have some quality show up in lower lonsdale. One of the only spots in Lower Lonsdale that show true hospitality and care for ingredients on the plate. Welcome to the hood!!!
MoreGreat ambiance. Love the food. Their pizza is amazing!
Great service. Great food.
The pizza was delicious AF! Super kind servers and fantastic pies! Dope!
Delicious carbonara, pizzas and salads. Burrata is exceptional. Wines are perfectly paired and the service is welcoming. Looking forward to our next meal. Highly recommend.
MoreSpectacular. Cozy atmosphere, elevated service. Pizza was divine top to bottom -- the tomato sauce was so flavourful, the fior de latte was some of the best I've ever had, and the oregano infused olive oil was the perfect finishing touch. So glad I randomly chose this place on google maps, wish I lived closer!!
MoreSo happy to have Farina in our hood! Amazing atmosphere & extremely friendly service! Our server made excellent food recommendations! The food is delicious! Perfect for sharing! Love love love!!!
MoreJust ate here for dinner with my mother! Great atmosphere.. wood fires pizza. Cozy yet sophisticated place. Well priced , dinner for two 35$
MorePricey, pasta was so so, pizza very good... 1 pizza, 1 pasta, 1 Bootle of wine, $110...
MorePizza Farnia has opened a second location in North Vancouver. Awesome for us here, on the north shore. Great ambiance. Kind of like retro modern, if that's a thing, but a great space to dine. Way more of a dine in experience then their tiny location by China Town. It's the same great pizza from main Street. Thin crust, paper thin, but crisp, delicious and can hold up the toppings! You can pick up a slice and eat it like a pizza. Napolitano style pizza done very well! They also offer great Italian classics like rapini. Growing up Italian, this was a staple on our table during the winter months. One of my favorite veggies, unfortunately for rapini, it's not that common to the population here in Canada. So I was extra stoked when I saw it as one of their specials for the night. Service was effective, but nothing over the top. Go in and check it out. It's a great pizza joint added to our selection of eats in lower Lonsdale.
